Refreshing homemade iced lemon tea.
House-brewed premium black tea base, fresh lemon juice, simple cane sugar syrup, fresh lemon slices, fresh mint sprig garnish, ice cubes.
Iced lemon tea (trà chanh) is a beloved staple of modern urban beverage culture across Vietnam and Australia. Combining the robust, deep character of freshly brewed black tea with the bright, sharp acidity of freshly squeezed local lemons, this beverage offers an incredibly refreshing contrast that effortlessly cuts through the rich or fried profiles of classic street food and burger menus.
None. Naturally vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free.
Best consumed fresh and chilled immediately after preparation. Leftovers should be kept in the refrigerator and consumed within 12 to 24 hours (remove lemon slices to prevent the rind from introducing an overly bitter taste).
Black tea leaves are steeped to optimal strength, strained, and allowed to cool completely before being balanced with fresh lemon juice and syrup.
Steep loose black tea leaves in hot water for 3 to 5 minutes, then cool. Combine the cooled tea base with citrus juices and sugar syrup to achieve a perfect balance of sweet and sour.
Pour into a tall chilled glass packed with clean ice cubes. Layer with fresh lemon wheels inside the glass and crown with a freshly slapped mint sprig to release its vibrant aromatics. Serve cold.
