Steamed bao bun filled with BBQ roasted duck, fresh herbs and house sauce. (1 piece)
Steamed bao bun, roasted BBQ duck slices, cucumber spear, pickled carrot, fresh coriander, sliced red chilli, hoisin-infused house sauce.
Aromatic roasted duck (vịt quay) boasts a prized legacy in Vietnamese-Chinese culinary traditions, traditionally celebrated during special gatherings and festive occasions. Incorporating this richly spiced, tender meat into an open, fluffy steamed bao bun marries timeless heritage flavors with an engaging, modern street food presentation.
Contains gluten (wheat bun, hoisin sauce) and soy (marinade/sauce). May contain traces of fish sauce and sesame. Prepared in a kitchen that also handles peanuts, shellfish, egg, and dairy.
Best consumed immediately while the bun is soft and the duck remains tender and warm. For short-term storage, disassemble components and keep in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
If refrigerated, separate the fresh cucumber, herbs, and pickled carrot from the bun and duck before reheating.
Gently warm the duck slices in an oven or pan until heated through. Restore the bao bun's soft texture by steaming for 1-2 minutes, or wrap in a damp paper towel and microwave for 15 seconds.
Tuck the warmed BBQ duck into the hot bun, drizzle with the house sauce, and layer with fresh cucumber, pickled carrot, coriander, and chilli slices.
